Kochi: While corona conditions may be improving in many states of the country, the situation in Kerala still remains alarming. 30,941 new cases have been registered in the country in the last 24 hours, while 350 people have died. Out of these, 19,622 cases have come to light from Kerala alone, while the death toll in the last 24 hours is 132.

According to sources, the rapid spread of infection in Kerala is also due to a lack of proper contact tracing. For example, if a person is infected, it is not known exactly how many people he has met in the last 24 or 48 hours. Due to which people are not isolating themselves and the infection is spreading rapidly. The central team has also cautioned the local government about this. On the other hand, with 30,941 new cases reported, 36,275 people recover from infection in the last 24 hours. According to new data from the Union Health Ministry, the number of active cases in the country has increased to 3,70,640.

According to the Health Ministry, the Covid-19 infection has so far killed 4,38,560 people across the country and 3,19,59,680 recovered from the corona. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 13,94,573 samples were tested across the country on Monday. So far, 52,15,41,098 samples have been tested since the onset of the epidemic in the country. So far, 64,05,28,644 people have been vaccinated.
