Kozhikode: There are many strange cases in the country. The wedding was also done when the road was very crowded. Seeing the couple getting married outside the liquor shop caught everyone's eye. Those who were queuing up to buy liquor also started looking at the duo.

However, the couple did not actually get married but was symbolic and had done so to lodge such a protest. In fact, restrictions are in place due to the corona virus. It has been decided by the Government that 20 or more people cannot attend the wedding. Due to this, the business of those looking after marriage related work has come to a standstill. So on Monday the Kerala Caterers Association had a 'symbolic wedding' outside the liquor shop to lodge a protest.

As soon as Kozhikode MP MK Raghavan finished his speech, a couple dressed up like bride and groom and garlanded each other and formed a 'symbolic wedding'. Groom and bride have been working in the catering industry for the past several years. The Catering Association claims that such symbolic weddings have been conducted outside liquor shops at many places in the state and not one or two. The association claims that work has come to a standstill for the past two months due to the government's restrictions on marriages.
