A news related to Kerala gold smuggling case has come out. The bail plea of one of the accused Swapna Suresh in the case has been rejected by the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Kochi. Let us tell you that the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Economic Offenses) had reserved his decision last week after hearing the arguments of all the parties regarding the bail plea of Swapna Suresh. Swapna had told the court that she is innocent and this case is the result of political rivalry between the Central and State Government.

Earlier, the special court of NIA also dismissed the bail plea of Swapna Suresh on Monday. The court had rejected the bail petition of Swapna Suresh, considering the proof presented by the NIA.

Let us tell you that from November last year, through the diplomatic channel, the investigation agency had collected these proofs about the alleged role of the woman in smuggling gold worth more than one hundred crore rupees. The NIA strongly opposed the bail plea and said that a thorough investigation is needed in the case. The NIA said that prima facie evidence is that the accused had deliberately committed an act that directly violated Section 15 of the Unlawful Activities Act. Swapna Suresh has alleged in his petition that he has been implicated in this crime without any basis only on the basis of imagination and that the case is of political rivalry between the state and the central governments, which was blamed by the media.
