New Delhi: Fourteen passengers injured in Kozhikode airplane accident have been discharged from hospital after treatment. In a statement issued by Air India Express, it has been said that so far 85 passengers have been discharged from different hospitals. Eighteen people lost their lives in this accident on Friday.

In addition, Aurobindo Handa, head of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), which is investigating the airplane crash in Kozhikode, has said that evidence is being collected to conduct a formal investigation into the incident and that the initial assessment of the incident is not correct. He said that the investigation of the airplane is being done as per the Aircraft Rules, 2017 and ICAO Annex 13. The purpose of the investigation is to prevent accidents and incidents in the future. The cause of the incident is being investigated in depth.

Air India Express airplane crashed on August 7 at Kozhikode airport in Kerala. 18 people, including two pilots, were killed in the incident. The Boeing 737 of Air India Express was about to land 190 people from Dubai to Kerala. Due to heavy rains, the runway was flooded and the aircraft slipped into a ditch about 50 feet deep at the time of landing. In response to the question of whether foreign agencies would be helped in the investigation, Handa said that if the aircraft accident If the Investigation Bureau needs any help, then the foreign agencies will be contacted.
