Thiruvananthapuram: Amidst growing cases of corona infection in Kerala, the state government on Saturday issued orders and also issued guidelines to fix rates for the treatment of corona patients in private hospitals. State Health Minister KK Shailaja has said that orders have been issued to all the private hospitals empaneled under the Karunya Arogya Suraksha Prakashan (KASP). These rates will also be applicable for those infected by government hospitals referred to private hospitals which are not covered by KASP. State Health Agency (SHA) implementing KASP issued guidelines.
Health Minister KK Shailaja said, "Corona patients can get treatment from any government or private hospital. Both regions have come together to deal with the Corona epidemic. According to the order issued, in the general ward, the rate of Rs 2,300 per day will be applicable, while in the High Care Units (HDUs), Rs 3,300 will be charged every day. Apart from this, the rate of ICU will be Rs 6,500 every day, while with ventilator, this rate will be Rs 11,500 every day. Along with this, the state government has also fixed rates for different investigation of corona infection.
Let us tell you that on Saturday, the highest number of 1103 new cases of corona were reported in Kerala, after which the number of corona infected reached 18,098. Apart from this, more than 1.5 lakh people are under surveillance in the state.
