Kochi: Preparations are being made to ease some of the ongoing lockdown of the country due to Corona epidemic from Monday 20 April. In this series, at least 7 of the 14 districts of Kerala may have normalcy to some extent. Restaurants will be opened in these districts and some private vehicles will also be allowed to run on the Odd-Even formula.
These three districts of UP become 'corona free', all patients recovered
During the last nationwide lockdown of 21 days, the Kerala government had placed a proposal before the Center in which Kerala is divided into 4 zones (Red, Orange A, Orange B and Green Zone). Three of these zones were said to relax the restrictions in a phased manner. The Central Government gave the green signal to this proposal of Kerala on Friday, after which work is going on to implement it in the state from Monday. Accordingly, life in the two districts of Kerala, Kottayam and Idukki, which are included in the Green Zone, will become almost normal from Monday as there is no active case of Corona here. Some restrictions in the Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Palakkad and Wayanad districts of Orange B Zone will be lifted from Monday.

During the last 7 days, cases of corona infection in Kerala have been reduced to single digit. The number of people recovering from corona infection in Kerala has also increased. A total of 396 cases of corona have been reported so far in Kerala out of which 255 people have gone out of the hospital after being free from infection. Three people have also died due to corona in Kerala.
