Violent clashes between two church factions in Kerala, 11 injured including three policemen

Kochi: Two factions of the church clashed in Kochi district of Kerala. During this time 8 people have been injured. Apart from this, three policemen are also said to be injured. This incident is of Marthamoma Cheriapally Church of Kothamangalam. Kochi police said that there was a violent clash between two groups on Friday evening at the Marthaoma Cheriapally Church of Kotha Mangalam. This debate started from the conversation turned into a scuffle. 8 people have been injured in this incident. Apart from this, three policemen have also been injured.

According to police, one group wanted to take the tomb of a priest to another place. Some radical elements related to the church were opposing it. The protesters were led by Thomas Paul Ramban. Whereas Jacobite's supporters wanted to move the tomb to another place. Thomas Paul Ramban reached the scene with his supporters. He got into a dispute with some people here.

The Kochi police reached the spot with the commissioner as soon as the incident was received. Due to religious matters, the police immediately deployed the force at the scene. The Kochi Police has started investigating the case and appealed to the people to maintain peace. Police say that strict action will be taken against the accused.
