Kerala Youth trying to fly to UK with fake documents arrested

BENGALURU: According to sources at the KempeGowda International Airport (KIAL), immigration officials at Bengaluru International Airport (KIAL) arrested a 22-year-old youth from Kerala who attempted to fly to the United Kingdom after producing fake documents through a student visa.

The authorities have taken the case seriously because they discovered a link between providing fake documents, including the UK student visa. The police have launched an investigation in Bengaluru and Kerala to find the suspects.

Soju Thazhathu Veettil Shaji, from Wayanad in Kerala, has been identified as the accused. Authorities discovered forged documents and a forged mark card from Karnataka's Gulbarga University. The accused has been taken into police custody, and police are continuing to investigate the case in order to uncover the fake marks card racket.

Airport sources said, the accused had purchased a ticket on British Airways. The officers questioned him because they were suspicious of the authenticity of the documents. After being questioned, the accused admitted that the documents were forged. The accused told authorities that he obtained a fake certificate by paying Rs 65,000 to a man named Anurag in Bengaluru. Accused also admitted that he initially contacted Denny, who worked in an education consultancy in Kerala, and that it was through him that he met Anurag.
