A BAPS Swaminarayan temple has been vandalized in Australia after the anti-India slogans began in the country by local Khalistani supporters. This incident happened on the Thursday morning at the Mills Park in Melbourne.
Anti-India slogans and anti-Modi slogans has been found sprayed on the gates of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir where words like ‘Hindustan Murdabad’, ‘Modi=Hitler’, ‘Sant Bhindrawale is martyr’ were sprayed on two pillars at the entrance of the temple. Where Sant Bhindrawale is the militant Sikh leader killed inside the Golden Temple in Amritsar during the operation ‘bluestar’.
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha Australia has put out an appeal saying, “We are deeply saddened by the anti-India graffiti at the gates of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir by the anti-social elements. The BAPS temple in Mill Park, like all temples of BAPS worldwide, is an abode of peace, harmony, equality, selfless service and universal Hindu values. At this time, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leaders of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, has prayed for peace and unity and has appealed to all devotees and well-wishers to maintain peace”.
Patel an onlooker said that he witnessed the vandalism on the walls of the temple when he visited the site on Thursday, while giving the interview to the Australian Today. He further added I am angry, scared and dismayed by the blatant display of religious hatred towards the peaceful Hindu community by Khalistani supporters.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese through a message expressed warmest wishes to Pramukh Swami Maharaj Ji and the BAPS organisation upon his 100th birth anniversary. This video message of the Australian Prime Minister has been shared by the Australian High Commission to India.
Anthony Albanese has said that “Your Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj on behalf of all Australians, I send my warmest wishes to you and BAPS organisation upon the 100th anniversary of the birth of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj”. Further said that “I pay tribute to his legacy, his message of serving those..Something we can all strive for and as he said, in the joy of others, lies our earn. This legacy will live in Australia.
Further in this matter, President of the Hindu Council of Australia, Makrand Bhagwat said that he would be raise this matter with the Victorian Multicultural Commission and the multicultural affairs minister for the Victorian cause this death threat to Hindus is a very serious issue as the whole community is under the fear of Khalistani supporters.
Khalistan is nothing just a made up name for a non-existent nation idealized by the Pakistani backed Sikh obscurantist, which finds little to no support among the Sikhs in India or from somewhere else.
