Punjab University's Harmilan Kaur Bains was successful in setting a record in the 1500 meters on the first day of the athletics event of the Khelo India University Games. He took a time of 4: 16.18.

According to media reports, the 21-year-old player from Patiala surpassed PU Chitra's All India University record (4: 24.87). Harmillon shot eight seconds better than his personal best. On Friday, Punjabi University including Harmilan won three gold medals and the team reached the fourth position in the medal table.

For information, let us tell you that Savitribai Phule Pune University (14 Gold), Punjab University (09), and Jain University (08) are at the first three places. Prabhkripal and weightlifter Harjinder Kaur were the other gold shooters for Punjabi University.
