He retained his reign in the Khelo India Youth Games held here on Wednesday, while Haryana finished second with a total of 200 medals. During this 13-day competition, Maharashtra won its second consecutive Khelo India Youth Games trophy with 78 gold, 77 silver, and 101 bronze medals. Haryana came second with 200 medals (68 gold, 60 silver, and 72 bronze medals), while Delhi finished third with 122 medals (39 gold, 36 silver, and 47 bronze).

Swimmer Kareena Shankta bagged the second gold medal in the Under-17 200m breaststroke event, leading Maharashtra to a total of 46 medals including 18 golds in the swimming pool. Karnataka won four gold on the last day including a yellow medal from boxer Nishant Dev and tennis player Reshma Maruri. With these four gold, he defeated Uttar Pradesh in fourth place in the table.
