Khudiram Bose, who broke the chains of slavery in the country, died on this day in 1908. He was hanged on August 11 in the year 1908. He had always dreamed of liberating the country, which has been accomplished today by his efforts. When he was only 18 years old, he gave up his life for the country. Let us tell you that Khudiram Bose was born on 3 December 1889 in Habibpur village of Midnapore district in Bengal.

When he was very young, his parents died and he was left alone. He had an elder sister at that time. He nourished his sister. Bengal was partitioned in the year 1905. During that time, Khudiram Bose jumped into the movement for the independence of the country and he surrendered himself. Indeed, at that time Khudiram Bose started his revolutionary life under the leadership of Satyen Bose and he started getting into political activities during his school days. He started joining the procession from childhood. After studying up to 9th grade, he stepped into the freedom struggle and left school. He then became a member of the Revolutionary Party and was instrumental in distributing the Vande Mataram pamphlet. You all would know that his name was also involved in the bomb blast at Narayangarh railway station in Bengal on 6 December 1907.

After this incident, he planned to kill the brutal British officer Kingsford, but at the time he threw a bomb in Kingsford's carriage, he was not there. From then on, the British police followed Khudiram Bose. Finally, he was surrounded by the British at Vaini railway station and was hanged. At the time he was hanged, his age was 18 years 8 months and 8 days. Let us tell you that when Khudiram was martyred, students and other people mourned his death. After that, schools and colleges were all closed for a long time, and the youth started wearing dhoti and on its edge, Khudiram was written.
