Kia India reaches another milestone, exports 1.5 lakh vehicles in three years

On Friday, Kia India declared that it had reached the 1.5 lakh export milestone and remained the country's top exporter of UVs. To date, Kia has delivered 150,395 units to 95 different nations. They needed three years to accomplish this goal. From India, the firm distributes Seltos, Sonet, and Carens to 95 different nations. Automobiles from Kia India have been shipped to the Asia Pacific, Central & South America, Africa, the Middle East, and several other continents.

Kia first began exporting in September of this year. Seltos, which was also their first vehicle for the Indian market, was the first automobile delivered from India to other nations. With 8,174 units sent, August 2022 was the company's greatest monthly export volume ever.

Kia Seltos contributed 72% of all exports, with Sonet and Carens coming in second and third. The firm is the biggest Utility Vehicle (UV) exporter of the year, having exported 54,153 units in the first eight months of 2022. In 2021, Kia India had the greatest UV exports.

It goes without saying that Kia Motors has had great success in the Indian market. In fact, after entering India, the business was able to earn a profit in just two years. For the fiscal year that ended March 2021, Kia declared an after-tax profit of Rs. 1,111 crores.

Five automobiles are now available from Kia Motors. There are Carnival, Sonet, Carens, Seltos, and EV6. The Seltos continues to be Kia's best-selling car, with the Sonet coming in second. Currently, Kia is the fifth-best-selling vehicle in India. In the first eight months of CY22, they sold 1,66,167 units, reporting a year-over-year increase of 33.27 per cent. This amount is substantially greater than the industry growth and is 27% higher than the same period previous year of approximately 17 per cent.
