Gwangju: Indian badminton players Kidambi Srikanth and Sameer Verma have entered the second round of the men's singles category of the Korea Masters here on Wednesday. Indian player Srikanth outperformed Hong Kong's Wong Wing's Vincent 21-18, 21-17 in straight sets in the first round.

The match played at Gwangju Women's University Stadium lasted for a total of 37 minutes. This is the 11th win by an Indian player against Vincent. Srikanth has suffered only three defeats against Vincent. Srikanth will face Japan's Kanta Tsuneyama in the second leg. Sameer Verma has also managed to reach the second round in the men's singles category. In the first round, Sameer faced Kazumasa Sakai of Japan.

Kim Donghun defeated Verma 13–21, 21–12, 21–13 in a tough match lasting three games. The match lasted for 52 minutes. Kim will face Sameer in the second round.
