Patna: A man-eating tiger was killed in Bagaha in West Champaran, Bihar, on Saturday. According to the news, he had attacked 10 people in 6 months. In these attacks, 9 people lost their lives, while one person has become helpless for life. The fear of the man-eating tiger had penetrated the hearts of the people. They were reluctant to get out of their homes.

On Friday morning, 35-year-old Sanjay Mahato was made a victim by a tiger in Dumri under the Gobardhana police station area. In Harhiya Sareh, the tiger attacked Sanjay, killing him. At the same time, a 35-year-old woman and her 10-year-old son were also preyed on by the tiger in Balua village of Valmiki Tiger Reserve BTR. According to the news, despite the refusal of the forest department and the police, both of them went to the field to cut grass in the morning.

Earlier on Thursday, the tiger had attacked 12-year-old Bagdi Kumari. She was sleeping in her house during the attack. Subsequently, the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) allowed the man-eating tiger to be killed. According to the news, the forest department team had been searching for the tiger in the forests of Bagaha for the last 25 days. The team included senior officers of the Bihar Forest Department and other experts. He says that the tiger had come into the territory of another tiger. Because of this, he was not able to go into the forest. He was roaming around the villages and making people his prey. The villagers' anger increased due to the ever-increasing attacks of the man-eating tiger. People had also pelted stones at the forest area office. Government vehicles were also vandalised. Not only this, but they also beat up the policemen posted in the area. They had demanded that the forest department capture the tiger or kill it, otherwise allow us to kill the tiger.
