In the Super 4 match on Thursday at the Asia Cup, Virat Kohli finally scored a century, leading India to 212/2 against Afghanistan. After hitting Fareed Ahmad for a six in the 19th over, it took him 53 deliveries to attain the milestone. With KL Rahul, Kohli entered the field to begin the batting. He left the field unbeaten on 122 off 61 balls, which featured twelve 4s and six 6s. India's blazing start came from the opening duo after being asked to bat first. Before Fareed dismissed Rahul on 62, the pair had accumulated 119 runs for the first wicket (41).Â
Suryakumar Yadav was next packed in the same over. The Indian inning was then led by Kohli and Rishabh Pant. India is being led by Rahul as the Men in Blue made three lineup changes. Rohit Sharma, the team's usual captain, has been rested. In addition to him, Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya have been benched. Axar Patel, Deepak Chahar, and Dinesh Karthik have been inserted into the starting XI. Both India and Afghanistan's participation in the Asia Cup 2022 is done, but they both intend to go out on a high note.

Kohli’s inning was filled with boundaries as he took over the game like the king he is and helped India score a solid total of 212 runs. However, the highlight is always the final over, In the final over, Fazalhaq Farooqi was bowling, and Virat Kohli, who is now on fire, hit back-to-back sixes off the first two balls. He then whacks him for a four towards the cover region and then passes the strike to Pant in the fourth ball.
