Chennai: Team  India bowler R Ashwin is going through a bad phase these days. Despite having a brilliant record against the West Indies, he was not given the opportunity to play. That is also being criticized a lot. Now , bad news is coming for him from IPL also. IPL team Kings XI Punjab is not only taking away captaincy but may also drop him from the team. The Punjab team is considering giving  him to other teams.

According to a newspaper, Kings XI punjab is talking about taking with at least two teams for R Ashwin.  His future in the team will be decided in a week's time. R Ashwin has been with Punjab for the last two seasons and he is also captain of the team. However, in both seasons, he failed to take the team to the last-4 while both times his team was close to reaching the playoffs. For Ravichandran Ashwin, the time has not gone well. Ravindra Jadeja is the No.1 spinner in the Indian team.

According to the report, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals have shown interest in connecting Ravichandran Ashwin with him. The Royals have offered to take Ravichandran Ashwin in exchange for Karnataka spinner Krishnapappa Gautam. There is still confusion over Delhi's offer. It is not clear whether Shreyas Iyer's captain team will exchange them or buy them directly in exchange for a player. Even if R Ashwin goes to the other team, he will not suffer any financial loss as Punjab bought him for Rs 7.6 crore. They will continue to receive this amount on transactions from other teams. But his captaincy is set to go.
