On the basis of these standards, the oil companies do the work of fixing petrol price and diesel price everyday. At the same time, dealers are the people who run petrol pumps. They themselves sell petrol at retail prices after adding taxes and their own margins to the last of the consumers. This cost is also added to the petrol price and diesel price.
