PM Modi started the lockdown in India from 24 March. The lockdown has been extended for 2 weeks. However, this time more exemption will be given in Green and Orange zones. The rules of physical distance will continue as before. Trucks and freight vehicles will not need any passes. According to the Ministry of Health, 130 districts have been placed under Red Zone, 284 Districts under Orange Zone and 319 Districts under Green Zone in the country. It will be assessed every week and the zone will change according to the infected cases.

Different guidelines have been prepared by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the Red, Green and Orange zones. The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that there will be many restrictions in the Red Zone.

These restrictions will apply everywhere till 17 May

During Lockdown-3, people will not be allowed to leave the country except for essential services from 7 in the evening to 7 in the morning. During this time, the local administration can implement section -144 to stop the movement of people.

During this time, rail, air, metro, interstate bus services will not run. Schools, colleges and other educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, bars, cinema halls, malls etc. will remain closed.

Religious, political, cultural, social, and sports gatherings will remain banned as before.

There will be a ban on leaving the home of the elderly over 65 years of age and children under 10 years, as well as pregnant women and patients suffering from serious illness. They can only go out for urgent work or for treatment. But the package of reliefs will not be any less.

Limited services will be available in the Red Zone. Barring the cantonment area and the buffer zone around it in the Green and Orange zones, barber shops, liquor, cigarettes, paan, gutka and tobacco shops will be allowed to open. Goods will also open in the green zone.
