World Heritage Day is celebrated on April 18 across the world. There are many wonderful construction heritages in the world that have started to deteriorate over time. To save their golden history and creation, it is celebrated as World Heritage Day or World Heritage Day. Although there are many world heritages, which are famous all over the world, if we talk about Indian World Heritage, then there are currently 40 World Heritage sites in India. UNESCO has declared a total of 40 World Heritage Sites in India. There are 7 natural, 32 cultural and one mixed site. For the first time in India, the Ellora caves (Maharashtra) were declared world heritage sites. At the same time, if we talk about the 39th and 40th World Heritage, then the Kaleshwar temple is located in Telangana. At the same time, the 40th World Heritage city of the Harappan civilization is Dholavira. The highest number of world heritage announced by UNESCO is in Maharashtra. History of world heritage site:-
The caves of Ellora are located in Maharashtra. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1983.
The Red Fort of Agra is located in UP. The Red Fort was declared a World Heritage In 1983.
The Ajanta caves, located in Maharashtra, were declared a World Heritage in 1983.
The Mahabalipuram monument in Tamil Nadu was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984.
The Sun Temple at Konark in Orissa was declared a heritage site by UNESCO in 1984.
In 1985, the Kaziranga National Park, Assam was given the form of a World Heritage.

Keoladeo National Park, located in Rajasthan, was declared a World Heritage site in 1985.
In 1985, the Manas Wildlife Sanctuary of Assam has named a heritage.
The group of Khajuraho monuments of Madhya Pradesh was made a World Heritage Site in 1986.
Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh was also awarded heritage in 1986.
The monuments located in the city of Hampi in Karnataka are still present in the list of Indian heritage in 1986.
The Church and Convent of Goa have been placed on the list of heritage in 1986.
In 1987, the group of monuments of Pattadkal in Karnataka itself was named the Unesco World Heritage Site.

The Elephanta caves of Maharashtra were declared world heritage in 1987.  
The Sundarbans National Park, West Bengal has become a heritage in 1987.  
The Chola temple in Tamil Nadu was declared a World Heritage site in 1987.  
The Nanda Devi and Valley of Flowers National Park in Uttarakhand have been included in the Unesco World Heritage List.  
The Buddhist monument at Sanchi in Madhya Pradesh was declared a World Heritage Site in 1989.
Humayun's tomb in Delhi is also a world heritage site.
The Qutub Minar and monument in Delhi have been declared a World Heritage.
In 2016, the Captive Complex of Chandigarh has also made a World Heritage Site.
