New Delhi: The Tata Group has now handed over the command of Air India to Campbell Wilson. He has been appointed as the new CEO and MD of the airlines. Campbell Wilson, who has over 26 years of experience in the aviation industry, will now have the responsibility of shaping the future of Air India. Campbell Wilson has previously been the CEO of Scoot Airlines. Campbell Wilson started his career with Singapore Airlines in 1996.
Then he was a management trainee in New Zealand. Later the company sent him to Canada, Hong Kong and Japan to work. After that he returned to Singapore in 2011 and was the CEO of the company from the inception of Scoot till 2016. Scoot is a low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. After this, he worked in Singapore Airlines as Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing. There he saw the work of Pricing, Distribution, E-commerce, Merchandising, Brand and Marketing, Global Sales. The company once again made him the CEO of Scoot Airlines in April 2020.
Campbell Wilson has completed her education from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He holds a Master of Commerce degree in Business Administration. On this occasion, Campbell Wilson said that it is a privilege for him to be part of the Tata Group and lead a brand like Air India. Air India is now on a journey to become the best airline in the world. The company will provide world class products and services to its customers.
