Kolkata: The Kolkata High Court has issued some guidelines regarding the Durga Puja Pandal. According to the court's order, a no-entry zone should be set up for the general public in all Durga Pooja pandals in the state. These rules will also apply to small pandals. There is also a no-entry zone for the people. The Kolkata High Court on Monday (October 19) said that the Durga Pooja pandal will be a no-anti zone for general audiences.
The court said that only the organizers of the Durga Pooja Samiti will be allowed to stay within the venue. In view of the corona epidemic, the number has been limited to 25 for large pandals and 15 for smaller pandals. The court's guidelines will be for all the 34,000 Durga Puja pandals in the state. The Division Bench of the High Court has issued the direction. The high court order said that all the large venues will have to be barricaded at a distance of 10 meters, while for the small venue it should be five-meter barricades.
The judge has ordered that the organizers of all pooja committees have to abide by the rule of the no-entry zone. The court said, there is not so much police in Kolkata to control devotees in 3000 pandals. All the venues have been asked to create no entry zones to control the congestion at 31,000 other places of worship in districts across the state.
