After covid second wave break, the Indore-Kota-Indore (02299-02300) train, which was suspended, will resume operations from today (July 12) onwards. According to the Railway Public Relations Department, the train will leave from Kota at 6:30 am and will reach Indore at 2:15 pm. In turn, it will leave Indore at 3:35 pm and reach Kota at 11:27 pm.
Starting today, the railway will also regularize the operation of the Mhow-Indore Prayagraj Express. The train will run for seven days instead of four days a week. According to the railway, 52 trains used to operate from Indore before the coronavirus outbreak. In the first wave, these were completely stopped.
This train, which will be fully reserved, takes halts at Baran, Chhabra Gugor, Ruthiai, Kumbhraj, Chachoda Binaganj, Biaora Rajgarh, Pachor Road, Shajapur, Maksi and Dewas stations in both the directions. This train will have one AC chair car, four second seating coaches and seven general class coaches.
After the unlock, 36 trains resumed operating. However, due to the second wave, the number of passengers decreased significantly forcing the railway to suspend 26 trains. After the second unlock, some trains have resumed from June 1. At present, 23 trains are running from Indore. According to the officials, more trains will restart in the next 15 days.
