Lucknow: The Parliament membership of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Afzal Ansari from Ghazipur Lok Sabha seat in Uttar Pradesh has been terminated. In fact, on Saturday (April 29), Afzal was sentenced by the court to 4 years in prison under the Gangster Act. Since then, Afzal's going to Parliament was considered certain. Along with Afzal, his brother Mafia Mukhtar Ansari was also sentenced to 10 years imprisonment under the Gangster Act itself.

Actually, Mukhtar Ansari and his brother Afzal Ansari were accused of murdering BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai. Not only this, Mukhtar Ansari was accused of kidnapping and murder of coal trader Nandkishore Rungta. In this case, the MP-MLA court of Ghazipur, while hearing under the Gangster Act, imposed a fine of 5 lakhs on Mukhtar Ansari along with 10 years in jail. At the same time, Afzal Ansari was sentenced to 4 years in jail and fined 1 lakh.

Afzal Ansari was out on bail before being sentenced. But, now the UP police has sent him behind bars. At the same time, Mukhtar Ansari is already imprisoned in UP jail. 

What did the relatives of Krishnanand Rai say on the punishment of the Ansari brothers:-

Krishnanand Rai's son Piyush Rai had said after the court's verdict on the sentence of Mukhtar and Afzal Ansari that his mother had fought for justice for many years. The whole family was fighting a war against the Ansari brothers. He expressed happiness over the court's decision. Also said that due to the decisions being taken by CM Yogi Adityanath and his government, action is being taken against mafias and criminals. The changed circumstances of Uttar Pradesh are also responsible for the punishment meted out to Mukhtar and Afzal. At the same time, in another conversation, Piyush Rai told that his father was murdered 18 years ago. His father's shikha (top) was also cut off during the murder. Piyush said that this crest was not only his, but the crest of a society was cut. Today the court has increased the respect of his Shikha.

500 rounds of firing took place on Krishnanand Rai's convoy:-

Let us tell you that on November 29, 2005 in Ghazipur, a total of 7 people, including the then BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai from Mohammadabad, were openly gunned down. This murder was carried out due to electoral enmity. Mukhtar Ansari and Afzal were made accused in this murder case. In fact, Krishnanand Rai had defeated Mukhtar's brother Afzal Ansari in the 2002 elections from the Mohammadabad assembly seat where the Ansari brothers used to speak. Due to which Mukhtar and Afzal were enraged.

Let us tell you that Krishnanand Rai was murdered when he was invited as the chief guest in a local cricket tournament organized in Siyadi village of Bhanvarkol block. When he was returning after inaugurating the match, the attackers ambushed near Basaniya Chatti fired 500 rounds from AK-47 on Krishnanand Rai's convoy. 7 people lost their lives in this shootout on the road in broad daylight, about 67 bullets were removed from Krishnanand Rai's body alone.
