HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)  has no history of democratic fight and their sole strength is the double engine of 'jhoot' and 'jhumla.', said  Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR).
Rao took to Twitter to ridicule the BJP for linking freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju to Telangana. He mocked Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks at a cultural department event in Delhi on Telangana state formation day on Thursday, saying, "The side affects of being coached at WhatsApp university."

During his address, Amit Shah referenced the name Alluri, who was from the Andhra area, along with Telangana freedom warriors. Paintings by Alluri were also on display during a meeting hosted by Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G. Kishan Reddy in the national capital.

"The BJP is a party with no history of democratic struggle, neither in India's independence nor in the founding of Telangana. Their only saving grace is the Jhoot & Jhumla double engine "KTR, the state minister for industry, information technology, municipal administration, and urban development, KTR noted.

TRS social media convenor Krishank Manne's post was retweeted by KTR. "Neither the Indian Home Minister nor the Cultural Minister understand Telangana's history. There was a photo exhibition to Amit Shah's speech mentioning Shri Alluri. What does Alluri garu have to do with Hyderabad or Telangana, please? Did they also give Rajamowli a name? "Krishank, who took a snapshot of Amit Shah walking around the photo show, tweeted.
