On Wednesday, Hyderabad will get another development project. The Cyberabad Command Control and Data Centre will be inaugurated by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K.T.Rama Rao at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate in Gachibowli. According to a press release, L&T has installed 10,000 high-end cameras across three police commissionerates, allowing police to observe and detect the ways the suspects use to escape after a crime.
Since surveillance cameras play a key role in detecting crime, the new facility helps the police to see 5,000 cameras simultaneously on the gigantic screen in the command control center. As part of the Safe City project, the cameras that will be installed in the limits of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates can be observed from the new facility. Apart from this, cameras installed elsewhere in the state can be connected to the centre without seeing CCTV installed in colonies as part of the 'I' initiative.
