NEW DELHI: Pakistan's claim to the ICJ's decision in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case as a victory has been rejected by the Ministry of External Affairs. The External Affairs Ministry has said that the Government of Pakistan has some compulsions which have led to it lying to its own people. "I think they are reading another decision, the main decision is 42 pages.

Ravish Kumar further said that if he does not have the patience to read 42 pages, he should read a 7-page press release where every point is in favour of India. I think they have some compulsions of their own, that's why they're lying to their own people. Notably, after the ICJ's decision on Wednesday, External Affairs Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi tweeted, "Jadhav will remain in Pakistan. He will be treated in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. It's a victory for Pakistan.'

Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that India wanted to acquit Jadhav, but that did not happen. He said, 'They wanted his release, it was not accepted. They wanted his homeland to return, it was also rejected. If they still claim victory then... Best wishes.'
