Ranchi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court has allowed the State Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court to contest the state assembly elections in Jharkhand, accused in more than 120 criminal cases including the murder of former minister Ramesh Singh Munda. Jailed Naxalite Kundan's lawyer had filed a petition in the special court of NIA requesting his client's permission to contest from Tamar assembly seat.

The court of Special Judge Navneet Kumar granted Kundan's petition. Now Naxalite Kundan will file his nomination from Tamar seat on 15 November. This time the Tamar seat has become a center of attraction in the Jharkhand assembly elections. Interestingly, in this seat, there will be a clash between the dreaded Naxalites Kundan Pahan and Gopal Krishna Patar aka Raja Peter. The plot to kill Ramesh Singh Munda, the then MLA of Tamar, was hatched by Raja Peter on 09 August 2017.

Let us tell you that Naxalite Kundan Pahan surrendered before Jharkhand Police on 14 May 2017. He is charged with the murder of MP Sunil Mahato, former minister Ramesh Singh Munda, Bundu Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar and five other policemen and Inspector Francis Indivar of the Special Branch.
