In Mohali, the negligence of a lab in Panchkula has stirred the Mohali district administration amid the fast-growing covid infected case. The lab did not report the report to 663 people found infected with covid in the investigation in the past week. Terming the negligence of the lab as serious, DC Mohali Girish Diyalan has asked the DC, Panchkula to take immediate action against the lab.

Pathology labs in Panchkula are sent to AAL Research and Solution Pvt Ltd for sample testing. Out of the samples sent for the test between April 18 and 25, samples of 663 people were found infected but the lab did not send the investigation report of these 663 people from Mohali.

The DC has immediately spoken to the DC of Panchkula terming it as serious negligence. He expressed hope that these 663 covid infected people may have kept themselves in solitary confinement based on the initial symptoms. He said that if this did not happen, it could lead to a major spread of infection. The DC immediately issued instructions to the health department and administration teams to monitor all the 663 infected persons and to identify those in touch with them. Health department and administration teams are engaged in this work. The DC said instructions have been issued to test all those who came in contact with these people. The health department has started monitoring all the infected persons.
