Lassa Fever, which is spreading rapidly in Nigeria amid the Corona epidemic, is becoming a challenge among people all over the world. According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 123 people have died of Lassa fever in 88 days this year in Nigeria. Yes, the infection has been confirmed in 659 people so far. Let me tell you all that two patients have been found in Britain while one death has taken place. At the same time, 25% of the patients who beat Lassa fever have deafness. Not only that, but half of it returns to the ability of patients to hear in one to three months.

The root of Lassa virus disease - Let us tell you all that according to the World Health Organization (WHO), Lassa fever is an acute viral hemorrhagic fever that is caused by the Lassa virus. In fact, Lassa is related to the family of viruses, arenaviruses. Humans usually come from African multimammate mice in their grip. It is being said that household goods or foods that are infected with the urine and dirt of rats spread the disease.

According to the information received in Nigeria-
People between the ages of 21 and 30 were the most infected.
- 45 health workers succumbed to the disease this year.
- Infection has been confirmed in 23 out of 36 states.
- The death rate is 18.7 percent between January and March.

While 80% of patients do not have symptoms – according to the WHO, 80% of those who suffer from Lassa fever do not show any symptoms of infection. It is being said that one in five infected people have serious problems. Apart from this, the virus has been found to have badly affected the liver, spleen, and kidneys, the major organs of the body. Yes, the cause of death of serious patients is organ failure.

Effect of fever for 21 days - The effect of Lassa fever on humans lasts from two to 21 days. According to the US health agency Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the disease was first confirmed in the city of Lassa, Nigeria, in 1969. Yes, and then it was named Lassa.  

Symptoms of Lassa like Corona- According to WHO, when infected with the Lassa virus, the person has a high fever, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, chest pain, diarrhea, cough, stomach ache, and nausea. At the same time, in severe patients, swelling on the face, water in the lungs, blood from the mouth and nose starts to come out. Apart from this, the patient's blood pressure also starts to decline rapidly.
