The Department of Education of Delhi government has requested an extension of the deadline for payment of examination fees for the 2021 board exams to November 14 which was announced as October 15 earlier. Few people and organisations have expressed their wish to provide financial support as a welfare measure to the economically affected students and wish to pay the examination fee of the students of some schools as a noble cause.

The CBSE has extended the deadline for the payment without late fee till October 31 and with late fee from November 1 to 7. The schools can submit its List of Candidates without late fee till October 31 and with late fee from November 1 to 7. The Department of Education of Delhi government has made four request to CBSE, first to extend the deadline of exam fee payment, second reducing the exam fee for economically affected students, third reduction in school syllabus and the fourth is extending the academic year to May 2021 and subsequent start of the next academic year in July 2021.

The letter also mentioned inspite of online, semi-online teaching learning activities conducted through live classes as well as worksheets or activity sheets,  it cannot replace the physical classroom teaching learning process cannot be replaced by these activities. CBSE has already reduced 30% of the syllabus and is preparing model question papers with respect to new syllabus, the Examination controller said. However, CBSE remains silent on the request to extend the academic year to May 2021.
