New Delhi: Corona's omicron variant, which has spread to 38 countries of the world, is now growing in India. Here it is spreading very fast. In just 4 days and only in 4 days, the number of patients infected with it in India has reached 21. The first case of omicron was reported in the country on 2nd December and 21 patients of this variant have been received till 6th December. Last Sunday, 17 new omicron patients were found in a day. In fact, 9 patients were found infected with omicrons in Jaipur, 7 in Maharashtra and 1 in the capital Delhi. As per the information received, the Omicron variant has so far spread to five states including the capital Delhi.
So far, the highest number of 9 patients have been reported in Rajasthan, 8 in Maharashtra, 2 in Karnataka, 1 each in Delhi and Gujarat. All the patients who have been found are said to have recently returned from a trip to South Africa or came in contact with those who had returned from high-risk countries. It is said that the number of patients infected with omicron may now increase further as many suspects are yet to be reported. Samples of all of them have been sent for genome sequencing and at the same time tracing of people exposed to infected persons is also being done. However, one of the reliefs among all of them is that patients infected with omicrons are showing mild symptoms.
No patient has seen very serious symptoms so far. In fact LNJP, Dr Talking about this, Suresh Kumar said, "The patient found in the capital has very mild symptoms. On the other hand, one of the six patients found in Pimpri Chinchwad in Maharashtra has mild symptoms while the other five have no symptoms. Moreover, the two patients in Karnataka also do not have much serious symptoms. But fever, weakness and fatigue persist.
