On Wednesday, KKR powerhouse Andre Russell has been named in the West Indies squad for the fund raising T20 internationals against a Rest of the World side. Marking the Jamaican's return to international cricket after a doping violation ban. Caribbean all-rounders Andre Russell,who last played for the West Indies against India in August 2016.

The 29-year-old, Andre Russell is in the 13-man squad also sees the return for off-spinner Ashley Nurse, who played earlier this year in New Zealand. Denesh Ramdin and Keemo Paul kept their places in the side following encouraging recent form. Interestingly, another batsmen Jason Mohammed, who captained the side in the three games at Karachi against Pakistan. West Indies lost three match against Pakistan. Jason has been dropped with regular captain Carlos Brathwaite taking over the reins of the side once more.

"We welcome the return of the players who missed the Pakistan series and are delighted to recall Andre Russell to the squad, as we believe he will have a key role in our white-ball cricket," said Chairman of Selectors Courtney Browne on Tuesday (April 17). "Denesh Ramdin and Keemo Paul keep their places after encouraging performances at both regional and international level."

The charity match, accorded international status, will be played at Lord's on May 31 to raise funds for the reconstruction of two grounds - James Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla and Dominica's Windsor Park Stadium - that were damaged due to Hurricanes Irma and Maria.
