On Tuesday’s thrilling encounter between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chepauk Stadium was not just a delight for the fans who had to wait for two years to witness the Yellow Brigade in action, but also former India opener and current Kings XI Punjab technical director Virender Sehwag enjoyed the exhilarating encounter at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

KKR all-rounder batsmen Andre Russell’s devastating knock against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chepauk has taken the Indian Premier League 2018 (IPL) season 11 by storm. Coming into bat at number four, Russell slammed a 36-ball unbeaten 88 which include 11 mammoth sixes and just one four. However, despite his best efforts, KKR came up short which left the Jamaican unhappy. Reflecting on his performance, the 29-year-old all-rounder revealed that the one-year ban handed to him last season has helped him regain his confidence and assist him to emerge as a different person.

When 75 runs required off 36 balls with Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the crease and batting in his den at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. This is not an uncommon sight for Chennai Super Kings fans as they have seen their hero Dhoni play one match-winning knock after the other ever since the inception of the Indian Premier League in 2008. But against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chepauk on Tuesday, it was Sam Billings who stole the show with his calculated hitting as Chennai romped home by five wickets in a thriller.
