The ball tampering scandal involving Australian cricket team captain Steve Smith, vice-captain David Warner and opening batsman Cameron Bancroft has seen some serious action being taken by Cricket Australia, as well as Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council. While Smith and Warner were handed a 12-month suspension from the national side, Bancroft got a 9-month suspension. Lets take a look at 4 players who got benefit from Ball-tampering.

4. Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen, the 27-year old South Africa wicket-keeper batsman could be a replacement for Australian Steven Smith in the Rajasthan Royals squad for the 2018 season. Klaasen wasn’t in the 578 list of players that went under the hammer.

3. Kusal Perera

Sri Lanka opening batsmen Kusal Perera remains unsold in the IPL Auction. Sunrisers Hyderbad have shown interest to sign Sri Lankan cricketer Kusal Perera as replacement for David Warner. Kusal Perera scored 1020 runs in shortest format of the game.

2. Kane Williamson

The New Zealand captain will replace David Warner as the skipper of the side. SRH were forced to name a new captain after Warner stepped down and was later banned from playing the 11th edition of IPL.

Rahane was named Steve Smith's replacement to lead RR after the Australian stepped down as the captain of the Rajasthan outfit following the ball-tampering row that has rocked the world of cricket.
