South African pacer Lungi Ngidi was hit by a tragic news after his father Jerome Ngidi passed away on Friday morning. He’s expected to reach South Africa by Saturday morning. As a cricket family‚ we will assist wherever we can at this difficult time for the family‚” The Proteas pacer Lungi Ngidi had recently arranged match tickets for his parents to watch him play his debut Test against India at the Centurion in January 2018. In that debut, Ngidi picked a total of 7 wickets – 1/51 in the first innings & 6/39 in the second innings. This performance handed him the man of the match award.
