New Delhi: Actor Siddharth of South films on Monday made objectionable remarks about star badminton player and BJP leader Saina Nehwal. Which has now also been condemned by Law Minister Kiren Rijiju. On Tuesday, showing solidarity with Saina Nehwal, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju tweeted and wrote that the cheap comment made towards Saina Nehwal shows the 'disgusting mentality' of the person.

Kiren Rijiju, while retweeting Saina Nehwal's old tweet, wrote that, 'Proud of Saina Nehwal for her stellar contribution in making India a sports superpower. Apart from being an Olympic medalist, she is a steadfast patriot. Making cheap comments on such an icon personality shows the lowly mentality of a person.' After the controversy escalated earlier, Siddharth had also presented an explanation. In which Siddharth said that his word is being misrepresented, no attempt has been made to insult anyone.
