Tollywood and South actor and director Raghav Lawrence last directed the film Kanchana 3, the fourth part of his horror-comedy series. The film was released in 2019, featuring Kovai Sarla, Devadashini, Vedika, Oviya, Nikki Tamboli, and Lawrence played double roles.

According to reports, after the success of Kanchana 3, Raghav was signed to direct the Hindi remake of his 2011 superhit film Kanchana, and after a few struggles with the producer initially, Lawrence rejoined the team and is directing the title of Lakshmi Bomb, starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara.

Lawrence has now tweeted about Akshay Kumar and his dedication "From the shooting of the song Lakshmi Bomb, I am happy and most hardworking, punctual and proud to work under the earth and with Akshay Kumar sir. Laxmi Bombay is scheduled to release on 22 May."
