Former India batsman VVS Laxman Wijden is 'shocked' by the lack of opener Rohit Sharma in his list of five outstanding performers in 2019. England all-rounder Ben Stokes and Australia's Alice Perry have been voted the best performing cricketer of 2019 by Wisden Almanac.

Laxman said that Rohit had played five centuries in the 2019 ODI World Cup and he was entitled to a place in this list.
