Israel has launched extensive airstrikes across Lebanon, targeting numerous Hezbollah positions, resulting in at least 100 fatalities, according to Lebanese reports. Authorities in Lebanon are advising residents to evacuate areas where Hezbollah is believed to be storing weapons.

This latest wave of attacks marks one of the most intense cross-border confrontations in nearly a year of conflict, as Israel responds to Hezbollah's rocket fire aimed at its territory in solidarity with Hamas, which is engaged in an ongoing war in Gaza. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the military's actions would persist until they ensure the safety of northern residents returning to their homes.

In a recent video, Gallant urged the Israeli public to remain calm amid the escalating situation. The Israeli military's strikes targeted Hezbollah in various locations, including southern Lebanon, the eastern Bekaa Valley, and northern regions near Syria. Lebanon's health ministry reported that the airstrikes on Monday have resulted in over 300 injuries alongside the deaths, which included women, children, and medical personnel.

An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed that over 300 Hezbollah targets had been attacked, following warnings about airstrikes aimed at houses concealing weapons. In retaliation, Hezbollah announced it had launched rockets at Israeli military sites.

The conflict has heightened pressure on Hezbollah, particularly following a significant incident where thousands of communication devices used by its members malfunctioned, which was largely attributed to Israeli operations. In another recent strike on Beirut's southern suburbs, Israeli forces targeted senior Hezbollah officials, resulting in 45 deaths, according to Lebanese health authorities.

Residents of southern Lebanon received urgent evacuation alerts, instructing them to move 1,000 meters away from any Hezbollah sites. These warnings reached as far as Beirut.

Lebanon's information minister, Ziad Makary, dismissed the evacuation orders as part of a "psychological war." Residents expressed concerns about a potential escalation into full-scale conflict, with some fearing Hezbollah's response could trigger further Israeli retaliation.

In a media briefing, the Israeli military spokesperson shared that evacuation notices were disseminated widely across Lebanese communication platforms. He indicated that Israel would take necessary actions to ensure the safe return of evacuated residents.

Intense airstrikes were reported in various towns along Lebanon's southern border and further north, with residents hearing warplanes flying low overhead. A rocket strike was also noted in an uninhabited area near Byblos, marking a significant development in the ongoing conflict.
