LG Manoj Sinha Attends Golden Jubilee fest of 16 Corps White Knight

JAMMU: Lt Governor Manoj Sinha of Jammu and Kashmir hailed all ranks of the Army's White Knight Corps on its 50th raising day on Monday.

"Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, along with Lt General Upendra Dwivedi, GOC-in-C Northern Command, flagged in the Veer Smriti Motor Cycle rally and greeted all ranks of the Indian Army's White Knight Corps on its 50th raising day in a traditional ceremony at Nagrota Military Station today," according to a statement from the defence ministry. 

"The Northern Command raised the White Knight Corps on June 1, 1972, with Lt General J.F.R. Jacob as the first Corps Commander. The Corps has a long history of bravery in battle, and it has also excelled in operations along the Line of Control and in CI/CT operations in J&K "It was stated.

"Earlier today, Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, GOC, White Knight Corps paid floral tributes to the Fallen Heroes in a sad wreath-laying ceremony at the 'Ashwamedh Shaurya Sthal' in Nagrota Military Station," according to the statement.

"The White Knight Corps' Golden Jubilee festivities began with the "Veer Smriti Yatra," a motorcycle rally that began on June 8, 2022 in Lam, Rajouri and ended today in Nagrota. At all of the war memorials in the Corps Zone, the riders paid their respects to the Bravehearts. The celebrations in Nagrota began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by LG Manoj Sinha in front of a large crowd of White Knight Corps members of all ranks "It was stated.
