Actor Sharat Saxena, who became famous for playing the role of villain in films, was born on August 17, 1950, in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. He completed his early education in Bhopal. He then completed his engineering studies at Jabalpur Engineering College, but Sharat did not feel like engineering. He wanted to be an actor. That is why, after completing his studies, Sharat moved to Mumbai in 1972 with the aim of fulfilling his dream. This was followed by a series of struggles by Sharat to fulfill his dream. But Sharat did not give up and finally, Sharat's hard work began to pay off.

In 1974, Sharat got an opportunity to star in Amitabh Bachchan, Mausami Chatterjee, Prem Chopra's 'Benaam,' which gave Sharat hope of fulfilling his dream. It was Sharat's first release film. His acting on-screen was loved by the audience and after that, he started getting offers to act in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Punjabi films along with Hindi. Sharat's performance in the role of Daga in Sridevi and Anil Kapoor's 1987 film 'Mr. India' received a lot of applause from the audience.

Initially, Sharat appeared as a villain in most of the films and the audience loved him on screen in this form, but gradually later Sharat appeared as a villain as well as a supporting role in films and received a lot of appreciation. Sharat's main films include Kala Patthar, Shakti, Aakhri Adaalat, Shahanshaah, Thanedar, Virodhi, Tridev, Khiladi, Ghayal, Gulaam, Fanaa, Baagbaan, Krrish, Ready, Bodyguard, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dabangg 3, etc. Sharat Saxena, who made a special place in the hearts of the audience with his acting, will soon be in sparks of his performance in Milan Luthria's directorial 'Tadap.'
