Home Minister Amit Shah is on a tour of Assam, the leading North-East after West Bengal. On Sunday morning, Shah reached the popular Kamakhya temple in Assam. Due to this, Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal and Health Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma were also present with him. After visiting the mother Kamakhya, he will leave Manipur from Guwahati. After reaching Manipur capital Imphal, Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of many strategies.


In Manipur, Shah is also scheduled to meet civil society people. He will return to Delhi from Manipur on 27 December today. In Manipur, Amit Shah will lay the foundation stone of an IIT at Churachandrapur Medical College, Myongkhong, a government guest house in Imphal, the state's police headquarters and the Integrated Command and Control Center.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Saturday inspected the preparations for a public meeting at Hapta Kangjeibung in East Imphal city ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit. Shah will hold a meeting with representatives of civil society organizations in the state. Manipur CM N. Biren Singh has expressed happiness over his visit. He said that Manipur is ready to welcome the Home Minister. All the security arrangements have been made in view of Shah's visit.
