New Delhi: In view of the growing corona infection in the country, Modi government has extended the lockdown till May 17, i.e. for two weeks. Earlier, the second phase of the lockdown was implemented till 3 May. However, this time the Home Ministry has also given some relaxation in lockdown. So that the common man can get relief. The government has divided the country into three zones, where Corona has the highest number of cases, it is placed in the Red Zone, those less than that in the Orange Zone and the least or where there is no Corona case in the Green Zone.

According to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the third lockdown: -

During lockdown-3, people will not be allowed to leave the country except for essential services from 7 pm to 7 am. During this period, the local administration can impose Section-144 to stop the movement of people.

- Rail, air, metro, interstate bus services will remain closed during this period.

- Schools, colleges and other educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, bars, cinema halls, malls etc. will remain closed.

- Religious, political, cultural, social and sports related institutions will remain closed as before.

- In the entire country, the elderly over 65 and children under 10 years, as well as pregnant women and patients suffering from serious illness, will be prohibited from leaving home. It can only go out for necessary work or for treatment.

- Red zone will continue to have limited services. Barring the Containment Area in the Green and Orange zones and the buffer zone around it, the rest will be allowed to open barber shops, liquor, cigarettes, paan, gutka and tobacco shops. Malls will also open in the Green Zone.
