With increasing cases of coronavirus in Hyderabad and seven other districts in the midst of the corona crisis, there are chances of not getting a waiver despite guidelines issued by the Center to open other areas of the state after April 20. The state cabinet will hold its crucial meeting to take a final meeting on Sunday but there are indications that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is not in favor of any relaxation in view of the cases being reported every day. During the last two days less Coronavirus has been found positive in less than 116 people, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 766.

The leaders and officials of the ruling party feel that any kind of laxity can prove suicidal at this stage and all efforts made so far to level the curve may have to be continued. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to proceed with strict observance of the lockdown by 3 May.

Government offices will open from April 20, administration issues orders

In addition, the state government circles reacted with surprise and disbelief to the guidelines issued by the Center on Wednesday. According to these guidelines, industries working in areas outside the urban areas will reopen. While resuming, IT and ITeS companies will also be allowed to work with 50%  employees. Self-employed persons electricians, plumbers and carpenters, such as service areas, according to Eshon will also permitted. Chandrasekhar Rao was the first Chief Minister to extend the lockdown in a state for at least two weeks. He extended the lockdown in the state till April 30, even before Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide expansion till May 3. KCR Rao Had also said that the restrictions would be lifted after May 3 in a phased manner.
