Chandigarh: Restrictions have been extended for another week in Haryana in view of the havoc caused by corona infection. The Haryana government has issued an epidemic alert and asked the people to follow all corona rules to stay safe. The lockdown in Haryana has been extended from July 19 to July 26. Night curfew will also be imposed in the state. The period will be from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am. Hotels, restaurants, malls, bars, and gyms have been ordered to be opened with 50% capacity.

Earlier, the Haryana government had extended the lockdown period in the state till July 19 to deal with corona. However, the government also announced some exemptions for students and others. At the same time, the State Government had also approved several other exemptions. As per the order, universities and colleges have been approved to call students for doubt resolution, experimental classes in laboratories, experimental examinations, offline examinations, etc.

As per the order, university hostels will be opened only for students appearing for the examinations. More than 41,000 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours while more than 42,000 corona cases have been recovered. On the other hand, the death toll from the corona is above 500. However, the rate of recovery of corona patients is higher than the new corona cases in the country.
