In view of the growing corona cases in Bihar, the Nitish Kumar government has extended the lockdown for the next sixteen days. The period of this lockdown will be from August 1 to 16. The lockdown is already imposed in the state till 31 July. However, in view of the increasing corona cases in the state, the state government has decided that it will be increased to 16th August.
A notification has been issued by the Bihar government to increase the lockdown. Earlier, on 14 July, the government decided that the lockdown would be extended to 31 July. In view of the increase in the cases of corona cases, the government have decided that its duration has been extended for sixteen days. During the lockdown, the return of migrant labourers to the state and poor health system has contributed significantly to the increase in corona cases.
According to the latest data released by the Health Department on Wednesday, 2328 people have been found corona infected in the last twenty-four hours in Bihar. In this way, the number of corona infections in the state has increased to 45,919. So far more than 250 people have lost their lives due to corona infection. Apart from this, seeing the increasing cases in the state, it was already expected that the period of lockdown would be extended in the state.
