Hassan: Every day the figure of corona patients in the district is increasing at a rapid pace. To control this increase, a week lockdown should be imposed. This demand has been made by Member of Legislative Council MA Gopalaswamy. After handing over the memorandum to the District Magistrate here, he said that at present the figure of corona patients in the district is near 900. Lockdown declaration is mandatory to control corona infection.

If the figure of Corona patients increases at this pace, then it will not be possible to treat them. He has further said that due to self-induced lockdown in Channaraipattan tehsil of the district, the number of corona patients is controlled. Therefore, a lockdown will be announced for at least one week in the entire Hassan district. Corona care centers should be established in every tehsil headquarters. It is not possible for the people living in the countryside to come to the district headquarters for treatment.

He further said that medical personnel from the district should be set up with proper number of personal protective equipment and ventilators at tehsil headquarters with Covid Care Center. The figure of corona patients in Ramnagar district has reached 529. According to District Magistrate MS Archana, on Tuesday, 27 new cases have been reported in Channapattan tehsil, 21 cases in Ramnagar, 11 in Magadi, and 8 in Kanakpur. Out of 529 patients in the district, 294 people have got free from corona infection during the course of treatment. Including 9 of Magadi tehsil and 2 of Ramnagar Tehsil, total 11 patients have not been successful in medical treatment.
