Bengaluru: The Karnataka government announced on Thursday that there will be no lockdown in the state on Sundays. As per the norms of the Central Government, the State Government has issued the guidelines for unlock-3. Keeping in mind the increasing cases of Corona infection, the government imposed a complete lockdown every Sunday on July 5.

A curfew was imposed in the state from 9 pm to 5 am has been lifted under unlock-3. The government has given permission to open yoga institutes and gyms on August 5 for the first time since the Corona lockdown came into force on March 25 to prevent the outbreak of Corona infection. In this order, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka. The guidelines are going to be implemented on August 1 and the lockdown will be strictly applicable till August 31 in the containment areas.

Schools, colleges, Educational and Coaching institutes will remain closed till August 31. However, online or distance education will continue and will be encouraged.
