Bhubaneswar: The whole country is struggling with Corona. On Friday, yhe Odisha government has announced the lockdown on Saturday and Sunday till August 31 in 4 districts and Rourkela city. Special Relief Commissioner PK Jena said in this time that the lockdown will be in force on Saturday and Sunday in Khurda, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Cuttack District and Rourkela City.

Commissioner PK Jena further told that on 1 and 2 August, it will be closed from 1 pm to 9 pm. Apart from this, permission for general activities will be given from 5 am to 1 am. The state government has decided to continue the night curfew from 9 am to 5 am in August. He said that till August 31, the entire lockdown will remain in the prohibited areas. No one will be allowed to enter or exit these areas.

The new cases of corona infection in India have once again set a new record. The death toll in India has crossed 36 thousand. For the first time in India, 57,117 new cases of Corona were reported on Saturday. According to the data, this is the third consecutive day when more than 50,000 Covid-19 cases have been reported. The good thing is that the number of people recovering from corona infection has also reached close to 11 lakhs and investigation has increased. So far, over 1.93 crore samples have been tested for Corona in India.
